The 2nd midterm meeting of the ERNETMED Project on the “Use of Photovoltaic Solar Power for Desalination of Seawater and Mineral Production” under the EU Horizon 2020 program was held at TÜBİTAK MAM on 13-15 November 2019.
The meeting was attended by twelve researchers from various universities, research centers and companies in the project partner countries which are Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Italy, France and Germany. The midterm meeting started with the opening remarks of Assoc. Prof. Murat MAKARACI, the Vice President of TÜBİTAK MAM in charge of Strategy and Technology Development. During the meeting, TÜBİTAK MAM Materials Institute was represented by Assoc. Prof. Salih DABAK, Assoc. Prof. Alp Osman KODOLBAŞ, Dr. Sema MEMİŞ and Dr. Okan YILMAZ.
The project aims to develop a high-efficiency trailer for producing drinking water and minerals from seawater using photovoltaic solar power.
